WHAT WE DO?<\/h2>\n

Since founding in 1944, GEOPANNEL\u00ae <\/b>has been dedicated to the recycling of textile fibres<\/b> and their use as the principal component in felts used in a range of sectors.<\/b><\/p>\n

In order to combat the dependence on petroleum and the enormous impact it has on the environment, we develop, manufacture and continuously improve our products which are made from both natural and synthetic fibres and resins; all 100% recyclable.<\/b> Sustainability, efficiency, price stability and being able to tailor our products to the specific needs of each project are what make our products stand out in the market.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

HOW WE DO IT?<\/h2>\n

80%<\/b> of the raw materials used in our recycled products come from recovered cloth and fabric scraps -most of which are scraps of denim jeans, bed sheets, towels etc-.<\/b> We work principally with cotton, although other natural fibres are also used such as: kenaf, linen, jute, hemp, sisal, and sheep\u2019s wool. For products specific to the automotive industry we also use synthetic fibres such as: polyester, polypropylene, and special cottons, etc.<\/p>\n

The scraps of fabric are shredded, mixed, and homogenized through mechanical processes. Subsequently, the fibres -wadding are- is subjected to a process of polymerization<\/b>, with the material finally being cut in sheets, bales, or die-cut shapes.<\/b> We also manufacture products with different finishes, such as with textile laminates, aluminium, or self-adhesive surfaces etc. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

All GEOPANNEL\u00ae products pass the most stringent thermal and acoustic tests, as well as those of traction, abrasion, formation of mould, and toxic emissions.<\/b> We also manufacture a line of fire-retardant products for both the automotive and construction industries; meeting the most demanding of requirements in both sectors.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
